Advocacy
Clinical trials offer opportunities for cancer patients to access cutting-edge treatments that can lead to the best chance for survival. When a cancer patient is participating in a clinical trial, they also need their routine care. Currently, a cancer patient’s physician may encounter red tape or outright refusal by their insurance company to cover routine care if the patient is participating in a clinical trial.
Cancer Support Community-Central Indiana supports Indiana legislation that will lead to restoring insurance coverage of routine care for cancer patients who are participating in clinical trials. Please follow the link below to identify your state representative and senator and urge them to support SB347 or HB1382.
